Location: Bronx, New York City, USA
At the end of summer, our New York team organised a “Back to School Boost” at Crotona Park, distributing more than 300 sets of backpacks, school supplies, textbooks and uniforms to children from homeless or low‑income families. The initiative was led by Senior Investment Specialist Liam Chen, who grew up in Queens, with colleagues Elena Vasquez, Raj Patel and Sophia Lee. Under the motto “Today we invest in the future, not the market,” we invested in education as an asset that never loses value. Nine‑year‑old Maria Gonzalez hugged a volunteer and said she would study hard so she could someday help others – a reminder of why this programme will continue every year.

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA
During Chicago’s bitter winter, GAM Capital Advisory launched a “Winter Warmth Drive” in the Loop area. Led by Commodities Trading head Marcus Hale with Isabella Torres, Kenji Yamamoto and Aisha Rahman, our volunteers distributed over 600 coats, blankets, gloves and wool hats to people experiencing homelessness. Travelling along the Chicago River and stopping under the Michigan Avenue Bridge, the team met Mr Earl Thompson, a former trading floor worker who thanked us for remembering those left out in the cold. As Aisha noted, we didn’t just bring physical warmth – we brought hope that the community can face winter together.

Location: Tenderloin District, San Francisco, USA
During the golden autumn in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, our CSR team launched the Community Harvest Box initiative to fight food insecurity. Led by CSR Director Olivia Grant with colleagues Diego Morales, Mei Lin and James Kwon, the team packed and distributed more than 400 boxes of fresh vegetables, fruit, bread and milk to homeless individuals and low‑income families. Partnering with local farms and the Glide Memorial Community Center, we invested in the health of our community. A single mother named Lena Brooks welled up with tears as she accepted a box of produce: “My children haven’t had fresh fruit in so long. Thank you, GAM, for thinking of families like ours.”

Location: Gitega, Burundi
In the rural hills of Gitega, where many families lived in fragile shelters vulnerable to storms, GAM Capital Advisory partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build five new homes and repair ten existing ones through the Mái Ấm Hy Vọng programme. CEO Albert Saporta led the initiative alongside Diego Morales, Mei Lin, James Kwon and 50 volunteers, mixing mortar and laying bricks shoulder‑to‑shoulder with local residents. When single mother Aline Ndayishimiye received the keys to her new home, she wept with relief: “My children now have a dry place to study and no longer fear collapse. Thank you for bringing hope to us.” This programme shows that stable shelter is the foundation for sustainable human growth.
